Are you new to yoga, or have you been practicing for years now? Regardless of your answer, if you’ve never tried hot yoga, Haute Bodhi Hot Yoga has the perfect class for you. Our Express Hot Yoga Class is performed in a classroom that is heated to 105 degrees Fahrenheit, and just like Bikram Yoga, consists of 26 poses and two breathing exercises. But, since this class is only an hour rather than 90 minutes, which is the standard Bikram class length, it’s a great way to ease yourself into practicing yoga in a heated room. Best of all, it’s an ideal class for yogis of all ability levels, so even if you’re new to yoga altogether, this class is a great place to start.
If there’s one thing that’s certain in a hot yoga class, it’s that you can expect to get sweaty. This means that being well-hydrated before your class is a must. Make it a point to drink more water than you normally do on the day of your class, and bring plenty of water to drink during the class itself. Additionally, it can be difficult for your body to adjust to the heat, but if you don’t come to class with a full stomach, it can make that adjustment easier, so stick with light meals before class.
You’ll also want to make sure that you dress appropriately for your first hot yoga class. You’ll definitely want to wear something cool that you can move in, like shorts and a T-shirt. You’ll need to bring your yoga mat, a tower, and water; however, if you forget something, you can rent or buy it with us!
So many people have fallen in love with hot yoga, and once you try it, you’ll never want to look back! Sign up for our Express hot yoga class in Washington DC today!
